ACCOMMODATION FOR SOLDIERS
PROVISION AT Y.M.C.A.
The establishment and conduct of recreational huts in military camps does not cover the whole of the war effort of the Y.M.C.A. The association also endeavours to cater for the comfort of the men while they are on leave by providing sleeping accommodation and meals at its various institutions.
The Invercargill Y.M.C.A. has provided for the accommodation of 20 men at the reasonable rate of 3/6 for bed, shower bath, and breakfast. Men on leave, who for any reason have to spend a night or longer in the city, are invited to make use of this accommodation. Tea is also provided for men on leave on Sunday nights.
