ANTI-SUBMARINE PATROLS.— The New Zealand Bomber Squadron in the Coastal Command is now operating and carrying out anti-submarine patrols. (Rugby.) E.P.S. MESSENGERS—Fifty more boys are required for messenger work in the Invercargill E.P.S. The Chief Controller. Mr H. J. Macalister, said yesterday that it was most important that all E.P.S. points should be linked by an efficient messenger service and all boys between the ages of 14 and 17 years inclusive, who had not yet enrolled for this work were asked to send in their names and addresses to Mr C. A. Stewart, Southland Technical College. Each boy would be allocated to a post as near his own home as possible.
