AMERICAN AIRMEN KILLED IN CRASH
MELBOURNE, May 27. When a United States Army transport plane crashed at Alice Springs yesterday nine American airmen and a pay officer and two Australian airmen were killed. It was stated at Allied headquarters that a motor failure was believed to have caused the crash.
