ABRAHAM WACHNER, DALGETY’S BUILDINGS, DON STREET. (Upstairs). lOUR Home will look better with “ANVIL” PAlNT.—Smith and Smith, Ltd., Esk Street. Y.M.C.A. ENTERTAINS SOLDIERS SUNDAY MEALS TO BE PROVIDED Last evening the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. entertained more than 70 soldiers to tea at the Y.M.C.A. rooms, Tay street. Chaplain Lieutenant-Colonel J. A. Thomson, who is a member of the Y.M.C.A. Board and who was down on leave, in welcoming the men expressed his pleasure that the Invercargill Y.M.C.A. had decided to extend its hospitality to the men of the camp. He also extended an invitation to any of the troops when they were transferred to other camps to always make a point of visiting the padre’s hut; they would be sure of a welcome. The Y.M.C.A. Board has arranged with the various churches to provide free teas at the Y.M.C.A. every Sunday afternoon and the Ladies’ Auxiliary will provide supper every night during the week at the rooms at a small cost. The Ladies’ Auxiliary will welcome donations of food for the weekly suppers. These may be left at the Cambridge tea rooms or at the Y.M.C.A. rooms.
