WOUND PROVES FATAL
WHANGAREI, February 28. The victim of the tragic shooting, involving mistaken identity on the part of his son, Steven Urlich, of Houora, died in the Mangonui district hospital at Kaitaia this morning. Although suffering from a grievous abdominal wound he was able to converse freely with his sons and other members of the family and the police. He confirmed fully the version of the tragedy given yesterday. It is understood that independent witnesses corroborated the story of the practical joke which had such terrible consequences. Urlich was one of the best known Dalmations.
