WELCOME CLUB IN INVERCARGILL

It was decided at a meeting held yesterday afternoon to form a Welcome Club in Invercargill for the recreation and entertainment of men in the local camps. Representatives of the various patriotic committees, the Returned Services Association, the Rotary Club, the Y.M.C.A. and the Chamber of Commerce were present.

On the motion of Mr D. W. Stalker it was decided that the club be formed. After a discussion it was decided that a public meeting be called for Monday night at 7.30 in the supper room of the Victoria Concert Chamber.
