ISSUE OF PETROL FOR E.P.S.

SUPPLIES NOW AVAILABLE Arrangements have been made for the immediate issue of one gallon of petrol to all cars enrolled in the Invercargill E.P.S., according to a statement made by the Chief Controller, Mr H. J. Macalister. This applies to all private cars in the Transport Section, including those cars which have been specially allocated for service with the Law and Order, Medical and Public Health, and the Wardens Sections. It now applies to the above cars whether they have other petrol supplies or not. Drivers on the roll will require to call at the Automobile Association office, corner of Don and Kelvin streets, from today where they will receive their authorities to obtain the petrol. They must present their identity cards. The petrol may be drawn from any reseller in the city of Invercargill, but must be drawn by March 7. Resellers are authorized to issue petrol only upon receipt of the authority form bearing the post office date stamp and the signature of the deputy controllei’ of the Transport Section. ,
