SUCCESSES AT SEA

(Rec. 2 a.m.) LONDON, February 26. An Admiralty communique reports that the British submarine Pilot torpedoed a German cruiser of the 10,000-ton Prinz Eugen class off the coast of Norway. A subsequent air reconnaissance showed that the cruiser was damaged and was in tow. In the Mediterranean another British submarine attacked an enemy convoy of three supply ships. ’ Three hits were obtained. In the Netherlands East Indies American submarines have sunk two transports, one naval auxiliary vessel and one freighter.
