FALSE AIR RAID ALARM

(Rec. 11 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, Feb. 25. During a false air raid alarm, when it was reported that unidentified planes had been seen over the city, fragments from bursting antiaircraft shells rained down on some districts, causing some damage. One shell exploded in a garage. Four deaths occurred during the blackout confusion. A number of Japanese were arrested for signalling with flashlights at the end of a pier.
