NO NEWS OF MISSING LAUNCH
No fresh news has been received about the auxiliary launch Sea Bird which was taken from the Invercargill jetty last Thursday. The police are making inquiries about a young man, a stranger to the city, who was aboard the launch on several occasions before it was taken and who had negotiated for the purchase of the ship. The launch is twenty-eight feet long, is painted white with a dark red canvas deck and has tan-coloured sails.
