STATEMENT BY MINISTER OF JUSTICE
A statement that no consideration was being given to any proposal to postpone the opening of the new Courthouse at Invercargill has been made by the Minister of Justice (the Hon. H. G. R. “No consideration is being given to any proposal to postpone the opening of the new courthouse. There is some bother in securing certain material for furnishing, but the opening will not be delayed for this. Supreme Court sessions are set down for opening at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, and it is expected that this sitting will be opened in the old building and adjourned to the new building that day. Whatever the procedure, the new building will be formally opened for Supreme Court use that day.”
