COMPLETE FAILURE
BLACKOUT IN DUNEDIN (P.A.) DUNEDIN, January 22. A devastating report on Dunedin’s black-out on Sunday night has been furnished by the officer of a flying aircraft, who stated that the test could only be called a failure of the first magnitude. He said the Port Chalmers area was effectively blacked out, but that the city and suburbs were so well illuminated that from a distance of 15 miles any pilot would know his position. There were many cases of torch-flashing and headlights on motors. The Mayor, Mr A. H. Allen, expressed keen disappointment, stating that at the next test the police would strictly enforce the regulations.
