AMERICANS ORDERED TO JOIN OWN FORCES

Mr Roosevelt has issued an order for Americans at present serving as volunteers in the Allied forces to join their own forces. Before the entry of the United States into the war hundreds of Americans enlisted abroad in Allied anti-Axis forces. Now it is natural that many of these desire to serve under the American flag. The United States and other interested Governments are collaborating to facilitate the retransfer of these Americans who wish it to the United States armed forces. More than 20,000 Americans are at present serving in the Canadian Navy, Army and Air Force, including 10,000 in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Most of them are already overseas.
