CLEANING OUT STREAM CHANNEL
A request that the council should clean out the old Waimumu stream channel on the boundary of the Mataura borough after the major work now being carried out was completed was received by the Southland County Council from the Mataura Borough Council yesterday. The Borough Council’s letter stated that the channel could not carry the full volume of water without overflowing. The County Council asked the engineer (Mr G. R. Milward) to report on the matter to the next meeting.
