FREE RAILAGE OF CARS An innovation which should have immediate appeal to motorists is announced in this issue by the Railways Department. As from Ist December, motor-cars which are transported by rail on the outward journey at ordinary freight rates will, within a period of three months thereafter, be conveyed free of charge on the return journey to the home station, provided that two adult passengers (or equivalent) hold rail tickets for the same journeys as made by the car.—Advt.
