WORK OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE

LATE MR G. G. SAMSON

(Special) DUNEDIN, November 25. Advice that his son, Mr George Gavin Samson, who was recently killed in an aircraft accident in England, was at the time of his death engaged in work of national importance is contained in a cablegram which has been received by Mr J. M. Samson, of Dunedin, from the British Minister of Aircraft Production, Lieutenant-Gen-eral J. T. C. Moore-Brabazon. Mr

Samson had been attached to the research department for some time. The cablegram reads: “I have learned with the deepest regret of the tragic accident to your son in a flying accident. As Minister of Aircraft Production I know that the work on which he was engaged was directly increasing the efficiency and fighting power of the Royal Air Force. I send you my most sincere sympathy.”
