IN MEMORIAM
ACKER.—In loving memory of my dear Father and Grandfather, Oliver Acker, who died at Invercargill November 26, 1940. We saw him suffer day by day, It caused us bitter grief To see him slowly pass away, And could not give relief. —lnserted by his loving daughter, Minnie and family. Nv74B PAYNE.—In sad and loving memory of our dear daughter, Jessie Mary Louisa, who died in Riverton Hospital on the 26th November, 1940. Through all pains at times she’d smile A smile of heavenly birth, And when the angels called her home She smiled farewell to earth. Heaven retaineth now our treasure, Earth its lowly casket keeps, And the sunbeams love to linger, Where our darling Jessie sleeps. —lnserted by her sorrowing parents, W. S. and A. L. Scobie. Nv76l PAYNE.—In memory of my sister, Jessie, who died in the Riverton Hospital on November 26, 1940. So short and sudden was the call, To her so dearly loved by all. God loved her too and thought it best To take her home with Him to rest. —lnserted by her loving brother, Bob. PAYNE.—In loving memory of Jessie Payne, who died at Riverton, on 26th November, 1940. She was a mother kind and true; to her little ones so dear. In silence we remember. —lnserted by Auntie Madge and Uncle Frank. Nv7so PAYNE—In loving memory of my dear wife, Jessie, who passed away on November 26th, 1940. So sad and sudden came the call, Her death distressed us all, Only those who have lost can tell, The sorrow of parting without a farewell. —lnserted by her loving husband and family. 3531
