HEALTH STAMP SALES

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, November 22. Sales of health stamps for the first month this year show a very substantial advanc ■ over those for the corresponding period for October last year. Sales for the Dominion amounted to £2538, an increase of £750 over those for October 1940.

Expressing satisfaction with this result, the Postmaster-General, the Hon. P. C. Webb, stated that the figures for no fewer than 13 postal districts showed an advance on those of last year. Sales in Invercargill, Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin, Hamilton, Palmerston North and Gisborne had been particularly good.
