AWARUA BOATING CLUB’S COMPETITION

Eight fours took part in the Awarua Boating Club’s competition which was held during the week-end. The winners of the first round (strokes names only given) were Ramsay, W. Johnston, J. Cooper and A. Budd. A knock-out competition for the losing crews was then held and this was won by Nixey, who re-entered the other section of the competition. Ramsay and Cooper won the second round. Ramsay then beat Nixey and rowed against Cooper in the final. Cooper won. The following were the crews which rowed in the final: J. Cooper, B. Driscoll, T. Craw, G. Lindqvist; A. Ramsay, R. Dahn, F. Denny, T. Barton.
