OTAUTxAU RACING CLUB LOSS SHOWN ON MEETING 1 The annual report of the Otautau Racing Club stated that the race meeting showed a loss of £l3B/12/6, this being due to the stormy weather experienced greatly affecting the attendance. Though the fields were small, keen and interesting racing was seen. The committee applied for, and has been granted, January 31 by the Racing Conference for its meeting this season. It was felt that this would be popular with owners and trainers, as it would enable them to give their horses a race before the more important Southland and Otago meetings. The property and buildings were in good order. The permanent buildings had been painted and repaired, and many draining improvements had been made.

The following nominations for officers have been received:—President, Mr C. G. G. Sinclair; vice-president, Mr K. A. McKenzie; six members of committee, Messrs T. Gill, J. N. Laurie, F. Malcolm, A. R. Simon (retiring members), H. Bulman, J. E. Malcolm and S. J. Sanfprd,.. -
