EVACUATION OF KERCH

While the Russians are battling furiously to stem the German drive on the Caucasus, Moscow has admitted the fall of Kerch, which was evacuated on the instructions of the Russian High Command. The Germans are intensifying their efforts to capture Sebastopol, but without success. Another big German assault on Moscow has begun. The Germans have concentrated two infantry divisions and one tank division at Tula and the situation is described as grave. They are exerting pressure at Volokolamsk, but it is reported that one advance has been repulsed by the Russians.- There are also reports of increasing pressure at Kalinin.
