EMPIRE AIR TRAINING SCHEME
NEW ZEALAND’S ATTITUDE
(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 14. The intention of the New Zealand Government to participate in the Empire ail’ training scheme until final victory was won was expressed by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Power, had told the House of Commons that the training scheme would be continued for the duration of the war, although it was originally intended to end in 1943.
“There is no thought whatever’ of New Zealand not continuing with the mpire air training scheme,” said Mr Fraser. “Definitely New Zealand will continue as a partner’ in the scheme as it has been so wonderfully successful.” The Prime Ministei’ added that he had a personal opportunity of visiting a good many of the training stations in the Ontario, Quebec and Montreal districts and that he had been greatly impressed with them.
