OFFICERS IN N.Z.E.F.

APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, November 13. A number of military appointments are announced in tonight’s Gazette. The following appointments (all ranks are temporary) are made to the New Zealand Corps, Ist (N.Z.) Army Tank Brigade: Lieutenant-Colonel L. Potter, Major J. W. Barry and Lieutenants R. A. Bay, L. F. Brooker and G. E. L. Dawson. Appointments to the New Zealand Staff College at Palmerston North are: Colonel V. F. S. Hawkins, commandant, Major (temporary lieutenant-colonel) J. I. Brooke, general staff officer (first grade), Majors F. L. H. Davis, A. R. Cockerell, J. B. White and A. L. Hogg, general staff officers (second grade). Lieutenant-Colonel L. H. Jardine has been appointed commandant of the Army School of Instruction, Trentham. Lieutenant-Colonel F. C. Soar is appointed camp commandant of the mobilization camp, Ngaruawahia. Appointments with the N.Z.E.F. overseas include Lieutenant-Colonel (temporary brigadier) A. S. Wilder, who assumes the duties of commandant at Maadi Camp. Lieutenant-Colonel A. A. Tennent is appointed to command the 4th Field Ambulance.
