PUBLIC NOTICES SOUTH INVERCARGILL BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING LOAN OF £3OOO. ATOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the South Invercargill Borough Council, held on the 29th September, 1941, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation, at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on Monday, 3rd November, 1941 at 7.30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Elies Road, South Invercargill. THAT the South Invercargill Borough Council in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and of an Order-in-Council appearing dn the New Zealand Gazette No. 72 dated 28th August, 1941, page 2689, and of such further Orders-in-Council (if any) that may be required, and of all other Acts and powers, if any, it in that behalf enabling, hereby resolves by way of Special Order: — (1) THAT the Council proceed to raise a Special Loan of Three Thousand Pounds (£3000) for the purpose of repaying to the extent that sinking funds are insufficient the No. 3 Special Works Redemption Loan, 1931, of £4OOO which matures in New Zealand on Ist January, 1942, and that such Loan be called the South Invercargill Borough Council No. 3 Special Works Redemption Loan, 1941. (2) That interest be paid on the said Special Loan at a rate not exceeding Four Pounds (£4) per centum per annum, and that the currency of the Loan shall not exceed sixteen years: the said Loan shall be repaid by the provision of a sinking fund lodged annually with the Public Trustee as Sinking Fund Commissioner, adequate to redeem the loan at its maturity. (3) That the Council appropriate and pledge as security for the redemption of the said Loan and other charges thereon, a special annually recurring rate during the currency of the Loan of One Penny and One half of One Penny (lid) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all j the rateable property in the Borough of South Invercargill.
