Cousin Betty’s Letter

My dear Cousins, Last week I promised some of you that I would ask Mr Printerman to see if he could find space for the list of degrees and the marks needed to win them, but when the time came to put the Chronicle together, we found that oui’ columns were so full they were almost bursting, and so the list had to be held over once more. Again this week we are trying to squeeze it in, and you will see today whether we have succeeded or not. As it may be some time before the list can be printed again, cut it out and paste it in your marks books. Do the same with Things to Remember the next time you see it published. Congratulations this week to Cousins Rita Salton and Betty McNoe. Rita is now an Able Contributor, and Betty is a Very Able Contributor. Prizes are being posted to these cousins. Congatulations, too, to one of my newest clans of Little Southlanders. The members of some of my youngest cousins, the average age being nine, but this group of six held a bring-and-buy sale last week and raised £l/13/4 for our Red Cross Fund for local activities. The Shamrock Clan had a competition and raised £l/11/6, so these cousins, too, are to be congratulated. Not content with this, the members are thinking of holding a concert in the near future. The town clans are setting a good example to some of the country members who have not yet held functions. Your loving
