HONOURS MARKS IN ELOCUTION.
'ln the recent practical examination conducted in Christchurch by Dr James Lyon, examiner for Trinity College, Miss Moreen Liddell, of 170 Crinan street, Invercargill, has gained honours marks in the higher local division for elocution. This entitles her to the special certificate awarded to candidates who pass all the local grades, practical and theoretical. Miss Liddell, who is 13 years of age, is considered the youngest candidate in New Zeaalnd to have gained this distinction in elocution. She has been taught by her mother, Mrs A. Liddell, who is a well-known teacher of elocution in Invercargill.
