UNSUCCESSFUL ATTACK ON CONVOY
(8.0.W.) RUGBY, September 21. An Admiralty communique states: “Unsuccessful attacks on North Sea convoys were made last xxight by enemy E-boats, two 'of which were severely damaged when they were engaged and driven off by naval escorts. Low visibility prevented the certainty of destruction. There were no casualties in or damage to any of our ships.”
