OTAUTAU

ATHLETIC SOCIETY Mr G. Sinclair (president) presided over a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Otautau Athletic Society. The chairman said that since the last meeting one of their honoured and esteemed officials, the Hon. T. O’Byrne, had lost his wife, and he moved a motion of condolence, which was carried. Reporting- on the last sports Mr Sinclaii - said these were held in difficult circumstances, not only on account of the petrol shortage, but the weather was boisterous and ended in floods.
