Windy And Wet (Special) WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate to strong winds from a westerly quarter; the weather cloudy with rain, chiefly in the west; moderate to mild temperatures. The weather was fine and sunny in Invercargill yesterday. There was a strong south-west wind. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was clear and cold. The barometer reading was 30.04 in (steady).
