Conditions Mainly Fair (Special) WELLINGTON, September 5. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by th* Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Variable winds later becoming south-easterly; the weather mainly fair, but some scattered rain; rain becoming more general later in tlie week-end. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was fine and mild with little wind. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was fine and clear. The barometer reading was 29.85 (steady).
