OBITUARY
MRS W. R. DON (P.A.) DUNEDIN, September 5. The death has occurred, after a long illness, of Mrs W. R. Don, at the age of 74. Mrs Don was for many years national president of the New Zealand Women’s Christian Temperance Union and lectured all over the Dominion on behalf of prohibition, foreign missions and evangelistic work. She was an accredited local preacher in the Methodist Church, being the first woman in New Zealand to occupy that position. She was also interested in several other church and charitable organizations.
