Middlemiss, Chairman. 9026 RATE NOTICES SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL. 7VTOTICE is hereby given that the Jjl Southland County Council proposes at its Meeting to be held on the Bth day of August, 1941, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to ' the borrowing of the sum of £20,000 for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the Rural Housing Act, 1939 and Amendment, to enable them to provide dwellings for their own use or for the use of any farm worker. The proposed security is the repayment of principal and interest by farmer borrowers and a special rate of threefiftieths of a penny in the pound on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Southland. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit same in writing to the County Clerk, Southland County Council, Box 33, Invercargill, not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
