HOME GUARD PARADES
A full parade of the Invercargill battalions of the Home Guard, including Headquarters Company, will be held tonight at the Drill Hall at 7 o’clock sharp. The Civic Band is to parade at the band room in time to march to the Drill Hall by 7 p.m. If the parade has to be cancelled because of wet weather an announcement will be made from station 4YZ at 6 p.m. In that event there will be an instructional class at the Drill Hall at 7.30 p.m. On Friday at 8 p.m. Major-General R. Young, Dominion Commander, will address officers of the Invercargill Home Guard in the Victoria Concert Chamber supper room. Country unit commanders are invited to attend.
