LAMBETH PALACE A MERE WRECK
(Rec. 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 26. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Cosmo Lang, revealed that five heavy bombs had fallen on Lambeth Palace, in addition to incendiary bombs. The palace, which has been specially associated with Church and State for eight centuries, is a mere wreck. It is revealed that the bomb damage to Manchester University is estimated at £30,000.
