A large offering of approximately 65 tons was submitted to auction at today’s rabbitskin sale. There was a keen demand, all grades and descriptions meeting a ready sale. Exporters held good orders and secured the bulk of the offering. New Zealand furriers also gave support, and purchased lines suitable for their trade. Winter skins were eagerly sought after, especially bucks, which realized the extreme price of 150 d per lb. As compared with the last sale’s quotations wintei grades appreciated 9d to 1/- per lb, autumn 6d to 9d per lb and other grades 2d to 3d per lb. Although there was only a small entry forward at the fortnightly Gore stock sale yesterday, the demand was good and prices remained firm. The entry was made up mainly of cattle, the biggest single entry being a line of about 80 Hereford-cross steers, offered on account of Caldwell Bros., Ferndale, by Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd.’The whole line was purchased by Mr M. V. Dickie (Ferndale) at £6/15/-. Fat bullocks on offer met a fairly ready sale at up to £ll/15/-, and fat heifers made up to £B/10/-, other prices being

£6/17/6 and £7/7/6. In the sheep section a small line of two-tooth ewes brought 24/9, fat wethers brought up to 28/-, and full and failing-mouth ewes made up to 10/6.
