NO RHODES SCHOLARS THIS YEAR
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 20. Official advice has now been received in the Dominion confirming earlier cabled advice that in view of the large number of Rhodes Scholars elect whose scholarships’ have been suspended for the duration of the war, the Rhodes trustees have decided not to hold elections for the 1942 scholarships. This means that no Rhodes Scholars will be selected in New Zealand during 1941.
