INVERCARGILL CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING
“The total membership of the club is 76, comprising 57 full members, tnree honorary, and 14 women members, said the annual report of the Invercargill Bowling Club which was presented at the annual meeting on Saturday The following office-bearers were elected: President, Mr E. J. Mills; vicepresident, Mr A. Scott; secretary, Mr H. L. Hay; treasurer, Mr A. Scott; auditor, Mr W. J. Miller; general committee, Messrs Jones, Gardiner, Holloway, Ellery, Grant and Willett; delegates to centre, Messrs Derbie and Geddes; selectors, Messrs Grant, Lee and Senrmens; social committee, Messrs Foster, Gardiner, Grant, Holmes, Lee, Miller and Willett.
It was decided that the shield rink be found by open competition and that Monday nights be set aside lor rink play. Trophies were handed to the winners of the various club competitions. Mr T. Gilbertson, who has been a member almost since the foundation and has done much for the club, was honoured by being elected a lifemember.
