STEEPLECHASE WON BY DARK ROSE

(P.A.) HAMILTON, May 19. The second day of the Waikato Racing Club’s winter meeting was held today in showery weather. The track was holding after rain and there was a fair attendance. The totalizator, handled £38,710 today compared with £30,392 for the second day last year, the total fcr the meeting being £95,909, an increase of £16,183/10/- on last year’s totals.
