AIR FORCE BAND

ARRIVAL ON MONDAY The band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, reputed to be among the foremost military bands in the British Empire, will begin its short season in Invercargill on Monday next in the Crescent at 2.30 p.m. Already much enthusiasm has been created here over the visit. Thousands of people have been thrilled by its music and marching in other parts of New Zealand, where nightly the scenes of enthusiasm which took place are without precedent in the history of bands in the Dominion. The marching is marvellous and a colourful spectacle. At the Civic Theatre on Tuesday night at 8 o’clock the band will give its first and only indoor programme. This will be most outstanding, and will include popular, modern and classical works. Intending patrons are advised to book their seats for Tuesday’s concert. The box plan is at Begg’s. Prices are: Dress circle and stalls 2/-, plus booking fee, gallery 1/-.
