ANZAC OBSERVANCE AT NIGHTCAPS

To The Editor

Sir,—“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.” How little respect for their sacrifice or the feelings of their relations is shown by those who organize and participate in a golf match on this day of remembrance. It is regrettable that the parade of school children is now not a feature of the proceedings. Apparently they are following the example of our leaders, who, in the words of the returned soldier who gave the address, are “using the day to enjoy a long weekend.”—Yours, etc., LEST WE FORGET. April 25, 1941.
