WOMEN’S DIVISION
OTAPIRI.— The annual meeting of the branch was held recently, Mrs Wadworth presiding over a fair attendance of members. The president, in moving the adoption of the report, thanked all those who had assisted during the year. The balance-sheet ‘ showed a good financial position. Office-bearers were elected as follows: President, Mrs Dixon; vice-presidents, ; Mesdames McGillivray and Porter; ' secretary, Miss M. Cowie; treasurer, Mrs W. Lockerbie. A demonstration ' j given by Miss Stevenson on the making of flowers from fresh bread and powdered colourings proved very interesting, the flowers being sold for patriotic purposes. The second birthday was celebrated by a dance which proved a great success. The following are the names of members who gained most points during the year in different sections: Mrs Dixon (exchange table); Mrs Donald (buying the most); best blooms, Mrs H. Cowie; domestic, Mrs Butt. A presentation was made to Mrs Shand, Misses Shand and Stewart, who are leaving the district. Miss Mcßae (Dipton) and Mrs Mcßae (Otapiri) sane solos.
