POSITION BETTER AT LAKE COLERIDGE
(United Press Association)
CHRISTCHURCH, March 4.
“The general situation is now much easier and it will be possible to get back to normal tomorrow,” said the district electrical engineer, Mr R. G. Mac Gibbon, in a survey of the position at the Lake Coleridge power station tonight. Mr Mac Gibbon is still at the station watching the work of the big staff of men engaged in drying out the plant, which was put out of action when the steel casing of one of the big turbines burst on Monday morning.
