TODAY’S RECIPE
STUFFED VEGETABLE MARROW Peel and trim a marrow and scoop out the middle. Peel and chop 3 large onions and fry in a little good dripping until soft, but not brown, add 2 cups cooked rice, 4 large sliced tomatoes, 1 teaspoon chopped parsley, 1 tablespoon chopped ham, 2 tablespoons fine zvhite breadcrumbs, salt and pepper to taste. Fill marrow, place in a well-greased baking dish, and bake in a moderate over for about 45 minutes. Serve with a well-flavoured tomato sauce.
