LIVE HARE COURSING
(United Press Association) DUNEDIN, August 21. A decision to send a circular to kindred societies to ascertain their views on the question of approaching the Government to have live hare coursing banned was unanimously carried at a meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. It was also decided to gather relevant evidence upon the conduct of the Dunedin Coursing Club’s June meeting for submission to legal opinion on the advisability of launching a prosecution on the ground of cruelty.
