APPOINTMENT OF MINISTER TO TOKYO
(United Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 20. “The matter has not been considered by the New Zealand Government” said the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) when asked tonight if New Zealand was likely to adopt a similar course to Australia and appoint a Minister to Tokyo. A cablegram from Sydney published on Monday stated that arrangements had been completed for an exchange of diplomatic representatives between Australia and Japan.
