FIFTY-TWO MEN ENLIST

YESTERDAY’S RECRUITS Fifty-two enlistments were received at the Army Office, Invercargill, yesterday for active service. J. H. Forbes. A. P. Buddle. D. J. Weir. J. A. C. Bain. A full attendance is required for a parade of Class II of the National Military Reserve next Monday at 7.30 p.m. at the Drill Hall. There is a comprehensive syllabus to go through, with 40 days’ training a year, and Lieutenant H. M. Hopper and Sergeant-Major S. W. G. Fowler, who have recently returned from a refreshei course at Burnham, will carry out the organization and establishment of the class on a proper footing. DOMINION ENLISTMENTS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 17. Dominion enlistments for overseas service last week totalled 2087, bringing the total to 54,610 of whom 36,777 have been passed fit, 8419 classed as permanently unfit and 24,281 sent to camp. The balance available for posting to camp is 7976.
