GERMANS GATHERING SHIPS
(Received June 30, 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 29.
The Daily Mail says that reports arc filtering to Britain from many sources suggesting that Herr Hitler is concentrating vast numbers of flat-bottomed craft at Dutch, Belgian and French ports. It is suspected that the purpose of the craft, which are powered by either Diesel or petrol engines, is to transport large numbers of medium tanks and infantry to the shore of Britain under cover of fog and darkness or a smoke screen.
