ATTEMPT TO RETAIN FRENCH FLEET
LONDON, June 25.
The French Fleet at Alexandria flew its flags at half-mast today for the armistice.
In the House of Lords, the Secretary for the Dominions, Lord Caldecote, said: “Everything possible is being done to secure the French Fleet for the Allies. We will not relax our efforts to ensure that these ships continue to serve the allied cause.”
