WOODLANDS TEACHERS’ DISCUSSION CIRCLE
The monthly meeting of the Woodlands Teachers’ Discussion Circle was held in the Woodlands school. The president, Mr E. Hargest, presided over a splendid attendance of members. Mr S. Foley gave a demonstration of the use of templates in art work. The president introduced Miss Wright, infant mistress at the South School, Invercargill, who chose as her subject the teaching of numbers in the infant room. She emphasized the importance of a thorough grounding, and gave valuable hints as to how this could be attained.
