German Woman’s Gift
A gift of £l/1/- for the Sick, Wounded and Distress Fund was received by. the Auckland citizens’ committee from a woman who described herself as “a German lady resident in this good land for over 50 years.” After referring to the radio appeal, she concluded by saying that New Zealanders “are a wonderful people.”
